Doc Report

Hi everyone :)

My yearly medical yesterday went really well, I felt like a schoolgirl being complimented by her teacher!!! As soon as the Doctor walked in to the exam room (before looking at my chart), she said "Wow you have lost some weight" That made me really happy! I mean she sees how many people a day? And she hasn't seen me for 6 months, so I was really chuffed that she noticed :)

My blood pressure is NORMAL whhhhoooooo NORMAL! I was so thrilled. I still have to go do the bloodwork, but she said that my cholesterol will be down she is convinced. And that is just 30 pounds! I know I still have a long way to go, but it was so great to get some no scale related validation. She said I should aim to loose another 30 pounds, I don't agree, but after another 30 we can check it out.

So there you have it bloglings, every pound makes a difference to our health .. so here is to the next 30!

30 pounds is awesome! I have lost 32 pounds so far, and I feel SO much better then when I was at my heaviest weight of 195 pounds. Every time I type that number I am astonished that I used to weigh that. I have another 30 or so to go 'till I get to my goal weight, but I am determined to get there!
I do wish that I would have had my blood work done before I started Weight Watchers so that I could see my numbers go down, but seeing the scale numbers go down, and also seeing the inches go down are awesome too! I've lost 40 inches off of my body so far, isn't that CRAZY!
Congrats to you for your weight loss! That is awesome!

Lisa, this is SO great!!!! I am very happy to hear how quickly your Dr noticed and even happier to hear what a difference it is making to your health.
I have never heard the word 'chuffed' before - must be a S.A. thing - lol. I love S.A. accents, I think they are so hot. I could watch 'blood diamond' just for Leo's scenes to listen to him do the accent - he did a great job with it.
CELEBRATE your success at the Dr.'s!!! Buy yourself something new - you deserve it for all your hard work.

Hi Lisa,

Yah, I'm not too worried about my gain - I knew I would be up, and it was much less then I expected, so I am okay with it.
As for the food - well, after the b-day cake (which was the first indulgence) I felt kind of yucky. But as the week went on and I ate more and more like I used to eat my body seemed to crave it more. It wasn't so much that it tasted SO GREAT (well the funnel cake did, but not everything else) but just that I wanted it.
I guess its true, the more you eat the garbage, the more your body wants it.
Thanks for your comments. And I am back on track now. I hope you are having a great week!!
