Trying to shake it up

I have done a lot of research and thinking since my WI yesterday. I have poured over my spreadsheet and found that from the beginning of September to the end of January (5 months) I lost 25 pounds, February to March (3 months) a whopping 3.8 pounds. So what I am doing it not working.

After much though I am willing to try anything (within reason of course!) My research, and a suggestion from a blogger lead me to the Wendie Plan, I found a thread about it on 3 Fat chicks. I am going to give it a bash, it's a week and if it works great, if it doesn't I will keep on trying to find answers.

My points allowance is 26 a day, according to the Wendie plan this is what I have to do:
Day 1 - 26 points
Day 2 - 31 points
Day 3 - 27 points
Day 4 - 41 points (super high day they call it)
Day 5 - 26 points
Day 6 - 30 points
Day 7 - 28 points

I will continue with my exercise DVD's and water.

Any suggestions are deeply appreciated, I hope you are all having a wicked week.

On a personal note .. whhhoooop whhooooppp for NickelBack concert tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Good for you for trying to shake things up. I have heard really good things about the Wendie plan on the WW message boards - so I hope it works well for you. I'm not a pts person myself, I do the core "simply filling" technique, so I don't think that it would help me.

Im no help with the points BUT do believe in keeping things shifting.
always changing what youre doing to keep your body thinking:

WAIT, WHAT??!!!

I agree with the others, I think that our bodies get used to our routine and get happy at a certain weight just as our muscles do better if we shake up the exercise. I hope this helps you see wonderful results!

Good luck trying Wendie. It seems like a lot of people have had good results with it.

Okay, I hear you on being frustrated. Two suggestions here. Try switching from Flex to Core or Core to Flex for two weeks. That should stir things up. I did that when I couldn't get past a plateau, and I lost 6 pounds in two weeks and I got jumpstarted. I started back on my usual plan after the two week change was up. Next suggestion, do a short easy cardio before eating in the morning three times this week, and then up your evening workout by 15 minutes a few times. Your body may be accustomed to the routine. Oh, another thing: try dropping as much sodium as possible for a day or two, and try a day or two of low carb/high protein and then go back. These are all different ways of doing what MizFit said: keep your body guessing. Your body evidently has you figured out, Lisa! Trick it. ;)

What really worked for me was adding 1tbsp of flax oil daily into my diet, and splitting up my work outs to two a day - a workout in the morning and one in the evening which was only about 1 hour of cardio a day. I had been watching what I ate really good for MONTHS and my weight didn't budge until I followed the above and then I was losing 3lbs a week. I've stayed steady since and want to lose a little bit more weight and tone up.
